This will bring its end of life date to October 10, 2025, the same day that extended support for Microsoft Office 2016, the last version of the suite, ends. The latest figures from Microsoft showed there were 600 million active monthly users of Windows 10, and some estimates are starting to indicate the overall Windows 10 userbase may be overtaking that of Windows 7. This is different from how they treated Office 2016 and other past versions of Office where they were given 5 years of standard support and 5 years of extended support.
Additionally, Office 2019 is getting a shorter period of extended support.
Now Microsoft is putting its foot down regarding Office 365 ProPlus support.
It's a move that's clearly created to push businesses that are holding off on Office 365 into subscriptions, as the standalone Office 2019 software will only be supported on Windows 10 and not Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 machines.
Past year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 - the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). As per latest estimates, for the first time, the newer version of the popular OS overtook the eight-year-old version.
However, Office 2019's support will also differ from that offered for Office 2016, which receives five years of mainstream support, during which it gets feature and security updates, followed by five years of extended support, during which it gets security updates. Microsoft Store is slowly populating with more and more modern UWP apps, a no-show in Windows 7.

Windows 10 might have surpassed Windows 7 in terms of global market share, but Microsoft is giving holdouts another reason to upgrade.
The next LTSC release, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018, will be available in the fall of 2018. While Windows 7 has lost 5% during the last 12 months, Windows 10 has gained over than 10%.
There is no change to the support term for existing versions of Office. If an organization is running a semiannual channel release of Windows 10 that's no longer supported, then the Office 365 ProPlus installation won't be supported either. It's not clear what those standard silicon policies are.
Office 365 ProPlus Support on Windows Office 365 ProPlus is the version of Office that gets semiannual channel releases, much like Windows 10 does, so updates arrive more frequently.
"Microsoft definitely wants people to subscribe, and that's the future of how they want people to consume Windows", Mangan said.

A hotline has also been set up for those that cannot get to the location in person, and can be reached by dialing 213-241-1000. Student Melanie Valencia, 13, said the school did a random security search Thursday, but she's never been searched.
