The latest Overwatch Developer Update gives a run-down of the new content coming in the latest in-game event.
"One side of the map is ancient and shows some temples that is very, very gorgeous and the other side is bright and attractive and very modern", said Kaplan in the developer update posted by the Overwatch team on Tuesday evening.
In the meantime, gamers will not have to wait to try and capture an enemy flag and just grab it from the get-go. There will no longer be any draws in this mode; instead, each team's flag will just be moved closer to the centre of the map, making it easier to capture until there is a clear victor. Players can now pick up the flag without any delay, although if the player holding the flag uses certain movement abilities or abilities that boost mobility, they will drop the flag on the spot.
We don't have an official launch time for the Year of The Dog event, although the above timing is based on the launch of past events and so it should be thereabouts.
▲ Judging from the thumbnail for the update video, a new skin for Widowmaker is expected to be added.
"The other thing that's very exciting is we've changed the flag pickup roles".
Pink's Super Bowl National Anthem Performance Was Incredible Despite Having the Flu
Klobuchar relished the chance to showcase the state all week, and by all accounts the #BoldNorth was on-brand and welcoming. Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms was on hand at Mall of America to represent Atlanta, which will host next year's Super Bowl .
If these changes aren't dramatic enough, Kaplan revealed that CTF will now have a competitive mode.
Back in 2017, the Chinese Year of the Rooster, the Overwatch event celebrating the new Lunar Year kicked off on January 24, a few days after the actually beginning of the Chinese New Year.
"For the Chinese, it's a very important holiday for us", Gong said, comparing it to Christmas for many. Last Year's seasonal cosmetics will be available for purchase at a discounted price as with all seasonal events.
Jeff Kaplan didn't confirm all of the details around the cosmetics, but he did reveal that Mercy and Genji were both getting skins.
This year Overwatch will once again be getting a Lunar New Year event, this time the Year of the Dog, which is set to arrive on February 8. Kaplan also hinted at a "really cool" highlight intro for one of the heroes.
