However, Schiff said he's concerned that White House advisers may try to black-out part of the Democrats' memo for political reasons and falsely claim that they are doing it to protect classified information.

Pat Walsh, of Catskill, called the original release of the Republicans' memo a risk to national security. The memo says that a "biased" Federal Bureau of Investigation and Justice Department abused their powers to launch an inquiry into the Trump's campaign potential link to Russia's alleged influence on the 2016 election.
Schiff told reporters he thought that Republicans felt they had to vote to release the Democratic memo after blocking it last week - adding that he thought it would also be very hard for the White House to object to its release.
The underlying materials that served as the basis for the warrant application were not made public in the GOP memo.
Schiff and other Democrats charge that Nunes' memo is inaccurate and misleading, and the 10-page Schiff memo goes point-by-point to counter the charges in the Nunes memo.
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders announced in the daily press briefing that the meeting had happened.

President Donald Trump now has five days to decide whether to allow the Democratic memo to be released. If he wants it released, it will be. If he objects to the release or redacts portions of it, the House Intelligence Committee could vote to override his objections.
The memo now goes to the White House for a five-day review, a national security survey like that for the memo written by staff of Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.).

Democrats say the GOP memo contradicts its own premise that the Russian Federation investigation began with Page and the dossier. They haven't weighed in on it yet.

Americans polled did have one gripe in common with Trump though - 57% echoed the president and said the news media could not be trusted to do the right thing. That case came three years before the 2016 surveillance order described in the Nunes memo.
"I'm not going to speculate", said Rep. Mike Conaway, who is running the House Russia investigation, when asked if he would override the President.
The Feb. 3-5 poll found that Americans were sharply divided along party lines over a federal investigation into potential ties between Trump's 2016 campaign and Russian Federation, a controversy that has hung over his year-old presidency. And of course that's what Democrats have been saying for a while. The only way to get a complete picture is for the Mueller investigation to continue unimpeded.
