An asteroid, estimated to be between 15 and 30 metres in size, will safely pass by Earth on Friday, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has said.

Apart from these two asteroids, another spooky asteroid named 2015 TB145, which is known as the Halloween asteroid because of its appearance, is going to fly by our planet this year.

Asteroid 2018 CB is the second small asteroid to buzz by the planet this week, according to NASA.

The astronauts have spotted two asteroids which will be passing by Earth within one lunar distance this week.

The first of this week's close-approaching asteroids-discovered by CSS on February 4-is designated asteroid 2018 CC. The asteroid will make its closest approach to Earth around 5:27 p.m. ET, according to the BBC.

The asteroid was given the catchy name 2018 CB when it was discovered at the Catalina Sky Survey, a series of Nasa-funded telescopes in Tuscon, Arizon, last Sunday.

The moon is an average of 240,000 miles from Earth. That asteroid was also classified by NASA as "potentially hazardous" as it was nearly 2, 615, 1258 miles away from the Earth during its closest approach.
