GETTYMark Hunt takes on Curtis Blaydes in UFC 221's co-main event

Romero is supposed to square off with Luke Rockhold for the interim UFC middleweight title in the UFC 221 main event on Saturday, but he weighed 188.3 pounds for the bout.

At UFC 221, Yoel Romero will be fighting for the first time since July of 2017, when he failed in a bid to claim the interim middleweight title at UFC 213.

"I'm a professional. I play this game right, in every sense of the word, I am a f-ing professional", a furious Rockhold said after the weigh-ins. Flyweight Jussier Formiga was just over the 126lb max for his fight against Ben Nguyen, and while dropping the towel didn't get him to where he needed to be, he was given two hours to make weight, which he did.

Whittaker, who became Australia's first UFC champion in December when Canadian Georges St-Pierre vacated the belt, had to be convinced by family to pull out of his world title defence.

The proposal also gives Musk the option of naming another CEO so he can concentrate on design and engineering at the company. If it weathers all this, the Roadster will reach the vicinity of Mars in six months, Musk said.

Five years and a combined 17 fights later, it is finally happening.

As if there wasn't enough drama surrounding the middleweight division in the UFC, we have a bit more ahead of UFC 221. He faces rising talent Curtis Blaydes, who, at 26, is almost half Hunt's age. When he stepped back on the scale, he weighed in at 187.7 pounds. And in the co-main event, No. 10-ranked heavyweight and fan favorite Mark Hunt (13-11-1 MMA, 8-5-1 UFC) meets No. 14 Curtis Blaydes (9-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC).

Yoel Romero, who was originally scheduled to fight Luke Rockhold for the interim middleweight championship, failed to make the 185-pound weight limit on Friday.
