Winning the Europa League is beginning to look like Arsenal's best chance of securing a return to the Champions League and Wenger accepts their league campaign has suffered a major blow.

"It is way short [of expectations] and it is not the record of a team that is going to qualify for Champions League football". "Manchester United decided that once they were in the semi-final [last season], we are far from the semi-final".

"I said many times that we did what we wanted to do but not all that we wanted to do", Wenger told BT Sport. "For us, it is an opportunity to come back closer to the Champions League places, which is a priority".

"I'm not a big fan of the Europa League victor getting into the Champions League".

"If it is an opportunity we will have to try to take it - but the priority is still the Premier League". I'm very pleased with the players and they deserved full credit.

"In the first half we missed three or four opportunities on the counter attack which is hard to swallow, always the final ball". That's why it's so disappointing to lose the game in the way we lost it.

The Gunners have been criticised for their defensive displays at times this season but Wenger believes it is a failure to take their chances that has cost them most dearly.

The Koreas previously held summits in 2000 and 2007, both hosted in Pyongyang by Kim Jong Il, Kim Jong Un's late father. He also called for the need of a quick resumption of dialogue between North Korea and the United States.

Did nothing fancy and stuck to his task, adding numbers to the backline and frustrating Spurs in and around the box for most of the game.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has said that striker Harry Kane will stay loyal to the club, despite interest from Real Madrid. You can say, "We are not strong enough when defending our goal", but when you look at the numbers and compare them to the top six, we do not score enough goals away from home.

Although it was only 1-0, there was a gulf in class between the two rivals.

While the Armenian midfielder won the Europa League and the League Cup last term, Mkhitaryan played a bit-part role under the Red Devils boss.

Kane narrowly headed wide, saw a volley clawed away and then Cech had to be at full stretch to stop a Christian Eriksen free kick finding the top corner.

As so often is the case when Tottenham get a result, Harry Kane led the Spurs line and, as Arsene Wenger said in his post-match interview, was the difference between the two sides.
