Xiaomi launched the much-awaited Mi TV 4 smart television in India at an attractive price of Rs. 39999.

At an event in New Delhi on Wednesday, Xiaomi launched the successors to 2017's Redmi Note 4: The Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro is an entirely new handset with an entirely new SoC, namely Qualcomm's Snapdragon 636, packing Kryo CPU cores previously exclusive to high-end Snapdragon 800-series chips. Interestingly a source on Twitter pointed out that along with the standard Redmi Note 5 variant; the Chinese OEM will also launch a more premium variant of the Note 5 namely the Redmi Note 5 Pro, which will have a mild spec bump over the conventional device. Xiaomi also introduced a step up variant to the Redmi Note 5 in the form of Redmi Note 5 Pro. Dubbed Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, this is the global debut of the smartphone.

In the TV available in other markets, Mi TV 4 comes with a special AI feature that identifies the taste of the viewer over time. The Mi TV 4 was launched in a single 55-inch variant for Indian customers and is notably called Mi LED TV 4. Like the name suggests, the Note 5 Pro is a superior version of the standard Note 5 - and indeed it is. It bears a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. At a price range of Rs 9,999, the company has provided its customers with a 12-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera. The company has launched Mi TV4 in China recently. The primary camera on the back has a 12MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture, while it has a secondary 5MP f/2.0 camera. It will be available exclusively from Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home starting February 22. The dual-SIM Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 runs MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat. On the front is a 5-megapixel selfie snapper with Beautify 3.0 and LED selfie-light.

The TV packs a number of connectivity options and ports including dual-band Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, three HDMI 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, one USB 3.0 port, Ethernet port, AV in, and Audio out.
