PUBG Has Now Sold 30 Million Copies, But Player Numbers are Dropping

Adding that number to the reported Xbox One sales, and PUBG now sits in seventh place on the list of best-selling video games of all time with an estimated 34.193 million in sales.

However, even at its least played, it still has more concurrent players than the next ten games on Steam combined, so PUBG isn't exactly hurting for players. These cheaters make it hard for other players to enjoy the game.

So, while PUBG Corp. continues to crack down on cheaters, they will probably need more than just one new map to keep PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' player base satiated going forward, especially with more games adding their own battle royale modes to compete in the new market. The site sources BattlEye regarding its numbers but nothing publicly release by the anti-cheat software confirms these percentages.

More so than nearly any other current top game, PUBG is infested by cheaters. Hopefully included in this upcoming roadmap will be a timeline of completion for the Microsoft platform so that the two versions can sync up a bit more in terms of update and content release.
