Nair has been president of Ford North America since June 1. Before that, he served as Ford's head of global product development and chief technical officer. O'Callaghan, who joined Ford in 1990, brings a wealth of finance experience having held several senior level positions globally.

The company did not provide additional details on Nair's alleged behavior. She oversees all Lincoln operations globally, including product development; marketing, sales and service; and all team members supporting the brand.

On Thursday, Ford said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it was canceling Nair's 2017 and 2018 bonuses, his unvested time-based restricted stock units and his unexercised stock options. The carmaker has not said if the decision to part ways with Nair will affect the now-former executive's financial expectations.

Nair made no further comment as to the reasons behind his abrupt departure.

In an open letter about the matter, Mr Hackett wrote "there is absolutely no room for harassment at Ford Motor Company".

"It's disruptive", said a stunned Rebecca Lindland, executive analyst at Cox Automotive.

Neurosurgeon Trimurti Nadkarni told AFP the operation took seven hours to complete and the patient required 11 units of blood. The tumor had been growing on Pal's head for three years now, and suddenly became so massive over the past year.

Ford did not disclose why the investigation started at the first place. Wall Street hates uncertainty, so they'll have to fill this position quickly.

Another top Ford executive, Mark Fields, who had been president and chief executive officer, left the automaker in May.

Lawler will support Hackett in advancing the global initiatives underway to dramatically improve Ford's operational fitness. The North American business drives the majority of Ford's profits with a sales mix rich in high-margin pickup trucks and SUVs. On assignment to Europe, Nair was the vehicle operations launch manager for the 1996 European Fiesta.

The allegations were not of a financial nature, but involved personal conduct, Ford explained to Business Insider.

Ford announced Wednesday that Nair was leaving the company immediately.
