When Dhoni gave Pandey a piece of his mind

MS Dhoni completed his 2nd T20I Half-century as a Wicket-Keeper

MS Dhoni has scored 1432 runs in 88 T20 Internationals at an average of 37.68 and a strike rate of 126.72. "I was waiting to play here", he told the media after Wednesday's game. Even in the ODIs, I was trying to squeeze my chances in but that didn't happen.

But not being a regular, Pandey said, has been playing on his mind. To step into their shoes is a little tough but it has been a couple of years until now that the Indian batting line-up is doing really well. "So you have to be very patient for your chances", he added.

Pandey admitted he was a bit slow in his first outing on this tour at the Wanderers, where he scored 29 not out off 27 balls.

It was the first IPL hundred by an Indian player, for Royal Challengers Bangalore against the now-defunct Deccan Chargers, who went on to become champions.

Dhoni loves to sprint between the wickets and he has revealed many times in the past that stealing an extra run gives him a real high. You don't want play to be stopped. But yeah, some more chances and I wish I could deliver more.

Avani Chaturvedi: First woman to fly a solo fighter jet
Mohana Singh and Bhawana have also completed training to fly a fighter plane and will soon fly fighter planes. It was in October 2015 that the Indian Government took the decision to open the fighter stream for women.

Dhoni wasn't too happy with his partner Manish Pandey as the two put on an unbeaten partnership of 98 for the fifth wicket at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.

"Mahi just woke up", Pandey laughed during the post-match press-conference. "That was his chance".

When queried by mediapersons after the match, whether it was lack of opportunities or that he hasn't been able to make good use of the chances, Pandey said, "Sometimes, I feel that because I bat at No 5".

It was the last over of the India innings when Manish Pandey hit one towards mid-wicket and ran a single. "South Africa bowled well and at the start we were thinking about 170 to finish with". He then got a two to bring up his second T20I fifty. "There were also some great shots by Mahi that took us to 188, so we were thinking these are bonus 20 runs", he said.

Centurion: Unheralded Heinrich Klaasen played a blinder of an innings while skipper J P Duminy led from the front with an unbeaten half-century to hand South Africa a series-levelling six-wicket win in the second Twenty20 global.
