What is now known about The Division 2 is Ubisoft had in mind from the start of the first Division that a sequel would follow years after the first game. Once again, the game will be led by Massive in collaboration with Ubisoft Annecy, Redstorm, Reflections, Ubisoft Bucharest and Ubisoft Shanghai. According to The Division creative director Julian Gerighty, making Division 2 instead of adding further expansions to the original Division wasn't as simple as a single discussion. We've also been told that Ubisoft has been more willing to give developers more time with their games after the success of Assassin's Creed Origins, so things might change.
There is now no launch window announced for The Division 2.
In the meantime, the fun within The Division will continue, as Ubisoft has chose to add a Year 2 celebration content, thus continue with the support. Hopefully a better single-player experience and improved social features are present in The Division 2.
Massive isn't the only team on the game though.
Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan enters the Rs 100 crore club in China
And now it will be interesting to see if Salman succeeds in derailing Aamir's Dangal at the Box Office in China . Though Salman Khan is nowhere near the opening weekend record of Secret Superstar which was close to 175 crores.
When The Division originally launched, it was plagued with lots of bugs, exploits and other issues. But, the publisher did reveal that an updated version of the Snowdrop engine will be powering the sequel, and that the title will be fully unveiled at E3 this year. The division continues. After the celebrations of our 2 year anniversary, we will support the game with 2 more title updates.
The developers will be releasing four new missions that will be available in "legendary" hard, and an additional pair in the 1.82 "parsnip" update. The developers are going to "invest all the experience [they've] accumulated over the past two years in this sequel to make sure everything is going well". Now, more than two years later, not only is the game's content running at optimal performance and loaded with fun content, there are plans to move onto The Division 2.
The Division will be implementing a new achievement within the game called Shields.
