According to an Indian Express report, the sealing drive made its way to south Delhi's Amar Colony market on Thursday (March 8) where about 400 of the 700-plus shops were closed down by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation with traders alleging lathi charge by police.
The chief minister had on Friday threatened that he would go on a hunger strike if the issue of the ongoing sealing drive against commercial establishments in the national capital was not resolved by the end of this month. It is the responsibility of the Centre to remove these anomalies...
Delhi Congress President Ajay Maken thanked Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for calling an all-party meeting on the sealing issue, while the BJP said they would decide on their participation after consulting state unit chief Manoj Tiwari, who is now overseas. In the letter to Prime Minister Modi, the Delhi CM emphasized on bringing a Bill in Parliament to remove irregularities in the law that are the causes behind sealing of commercial establishments and cautioned that unemployment produced by the drive might impact law and order situation in the national capital.
"The traders are on the verge of starvation and each shop is means of livelihood for many people".

We also gather that the two sisters patched up in 2013, when Sridevi was awarded the prestigious civilian honour Padma Shri. Bollywood's first ever female superstar Sridevi , who passed away on February 24 in Dubai, left many in shock.
The sealing drive was taken up by the BJP-led civic bodies after directions from the Supreme Court in December previous year. Delhi CM is urging the other political parties to unite in pressurising the central for bringing the drive to halt. There is only one solution now.
Meanwhile, preparations for a Delhi trade bandh on 13 March are on in full swing and traders are gearing up for an unprecedented show of strength. CAIT general secretary, Praveen Khandelwal, said that Kejriwal should honestly work for traders and should pass a bill for moratorium on sealing in the ensuing session of the assembly and forward it to the Centre for approval.
All major wholesale and retail markets of Delhi, including Connaught Place, Chandni Chowk, Karol Bagh, Sadar Bazar, Kashmere Gate, Bhagirath Place, Lajpat Rai Market, Khari Baoli, Naya Bazar, Kamla Nagar, Chawri Bazar, Nai Sarak, Khan Market, South Extension, Greater Kailash, Lajpat Nagar, Amar Colony and Defence Colony, would down their shutters on that day, the CAIT claimed.
