THIS is your SO OF COURSE preview of WWE FAST IS JUST ONE ADJECTIVE TO DESCRIBE THE... The Smackdown exclusive show has such little bearing on WrestleMania or really any developments going forward, it's nearly not worth watching.but I will.for I am a sucker. This has at times been extremely grating because the first half of his career consisted at times of Super Cena using sheer brute strength to overcome his opponents and very predictable matches. As far as what Michael Cole would consider "WrestleMania implications" are concerned, there is next to nothing. It was just the first to get a pinfall or submission won. While I don't mean to discourage the athleticism and skill of the men involved, I simply don't see the outcome of this match being any kind of surprise.
What are your thoughts on AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Title being made official for WrestleMania 34?
Nakamura and Styles have shared the ring before. Road Dogg finally found something for Shinsuke Nakamura, the number one contender for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, to do. He then retracted this tempting challenge, alluding to the notion that The Undertaker won't be wrestling again. Of course, he is facing the guy who has a guaranteed title match at WrestleMania so there are worse places to be on the card.
Meanwhile, the rest of the card is a mess.
Club owner threatens to shoot referee
Adding to the widespread confusion, there were claims that the referee, Giorgos Kominis, had actually allowed the goal. He was angry after his side had a 90th minute goal against rival club AEK Athens disallowed for offside.
The biggest implication of the main event, however, is the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 34, in which Shinsuke Nakamura is already a penciled-in participant.
A loss at Fastlane forces Cena to think outside the box and turn his distraught, hopeless nature into something more productive. The match itself should be pretty damn good, but once again, this was hastily thrown together and has zero impact on the story. The "Queen" retained her Smackdown Women's title against Ruby Riott in a high-profile match. I don't expect the titles to change hands tonight, so these matches are a little uninteresting. In fact, there aren't a lot of options for Charlotte at WrestleMania since Ronda Rousey's dance card is full. On paper, Becky Lynch and Naomi Vs. Natalya and Carmella was a TV match masquerading as a PPV match booked by a bloke bereft of imagination. There were multiple series of wrestlers hitting finishers and being stopped by someone else in the match.
This Sunday night, we'll have a better sense of the Mania scene, as we'll know who the WWE Champion, SmackDown Women's Champion, United States Champion, and SmackDown Tag Team Champions are.
They are still helping The Usos and The New Day to the back. Regardless, this is likely to be match of the night. Even though it seems they've battled countless times, these two teams have earned a smooth Flair/Steamboat dynamic. All hail six-woman tag matches! I've got to make it through Fastlane before I can do this.
Three of the four Superstars in the match have been WWE Champion at one point, but despite their pedigree, there just isn't much room for them at the moment.
