CBS Sports College Hoops "expert" Jerry Palm does not believe Notre Dame will be in the NCAA Tournament.
Colson returned late in the regular season and Notre Dame picked up two wins in the ACC Tournament before losing to Duke in the quarterfinals.
"He came out as hot as a player could come out", coach Mike Krzyzewski said, "hitting shots". "I thought [junior infielder] Matt Vierling had a good weekend. You know, look, I hope they get in because I think they can beat anybody", Krzyzewski said.
The Hokies built a 13 point halftime lead thanks in part to 10 first half points from Justin Robinson and 9 more from Chris Clarke. The team shot just 8-for-32 from the floor - 3-for-16 from beyond the arc - and made just two free throws after a 22-of-25 mark in Tuesday's second half against Pittsburgh.

"I don't really worry about records", Bagley said. "There are things that - I think there are a lot of things that - some of these young guys need to continue to make the transition to college baseball and trust in their ability, I think probably more so on the mound rather than anywhere else. I went in and said to them 'Y'all figure it out.' They've had ownership of themselves for a long time, and that really helps us in the tough moments".

Then, a barrage of back-to-back-to-back 3s from Colson, Farrell and TJ Gibbs brought the Irish fans to their feet, and an emotional and momentum-shifting play at the other end of the court completely turned the tide. However, this zone would play to Notre Dame's strengths on offense. Farrell then quickly swiped the ball from Clarke's hands, and Clarke tried to grab it back. Clark took exception to that and shoved Farrell resulting in a technical foul. The duo dominated for the game and were clearly the difference.

"We're excited about what the next challenge is in postseason, whatever it may be because we're feeling a little better about where we are physically", Brey said. This time around, he said, it's a whole different ballgame. Interim coach David Padgett - who took over when Rick Pitino was sacked before the season - will look back on those two games as turning points. "It's going to be another opportunity for us, and we're excited about it".
