Suh's release is not a complete surprise, but the timing was always in question.

Jeff Darlington reports defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is expected to be released as soon as Monday.

A three-time first-team All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler, Suh signed a six-year, $114.375 million contract with Miami in 2015 that included a $25.5 million signing bonus and almost $60 million guaranteed. But he never lived up to the money in Miami.

Suh will reportedly be released two days before the NFL's league year begins on Wednesday. Suh teased some "exciting news" on Twitter on Monday morning, which would seem to indicate he knew this revelation would hit the National Football League news cycle today. Vinny Curry is nearly certain to be released as the Eagles' begin a roster shakeup created to bring them in line with a salary cap that is reportedly rising from $167 million to $177.2 million for the 2018 season. "There will be some exciting things going on". And it's safe to say the contract he signed with the Dolphins, who outbid Detroit for his services, qualifies as a disappointment.
