The number of Android flagships running Oreo at all is already slim, but those using Android 8.1 are even fewer.
Of course, the biggest change with this beta is the fact that you're getting updated to Android 8.1 Oreo, but there are also some other changes afoot here.
JK minister Haseeb Drabu sacked after saying Kashmir 'not political' issue
During a conference in New Delhi on Friday evening, Drabu had said that Kashmir was not a political issue. Drabu was a key PDP pointsman in setting the contours of its alliance with the BJP in 2015.
In addition, the software update brings along another feature called the OnePlus Switch to the OnePlus 5T. New features include a gaming mode, a new auto pick-up gesture to answer incoming calls by raising the phone to your ear, a global roaming solution, new clock styles on the ambient display mode, data migration for app back-up on OnePlus Switch, and optimized full-screen gesture support (only on the OnePlus 5T).
If you are a OnePlus 5 user on the beta program, there is some good news. The changelog states, "Added new optimizations in gaming mode for immersive gaming experience including power saving and pausing adaptive brightness". This means that OnePlus engineers are testing app support on the next smartphone with notch display. In case you are not an Open Beta user, but interested to get the update on your OnePlus 5T, you need to head to this link: http://downloads.oneplus.net/ to download it. The update will be available over-the-air (OTA) for those users who have already flashed a previous Open Beta build. The company is planning to gauge the response from beta users and based on the feedback the update will be modified to incorporate all the changes. Digging deeper into the OxygenOS Open Beta 4 firmware files, an image has been found which is named as "screendecor_up_img_enchilada_1" as seen above.
