(The Church of Scientology's Twitter page has been aggressively promoting the network in the lead-up to its premiere.) As Deadline notes, ears have been pricked about this big debut for months as speculation about the network has spread.

"It's TIME for us to tell OUR story..." proclaims a tweet accompanying a minute-long video promo.

Request for comment from the Church of Scientology was not immediately returned, but a DirecTV spokesperson confirmed the Monday launch.

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos stumbles during '60 Minutes' interview
DEVOS: I'm more misunderstood than anything. "But I'm committed to a process that's fair for everyone involved". Overall, I, I can't say overall that they have all gotten better", she said.

USA trades confirmed the carriage deals with the platforms, though DTVE sister title TBI could not ratify these before press time.

Evidence of the upcoming network is already available on Apple's app store, where Scientology TV is available for download from The Church of Scientology International.

A channel from the controversial religious group has been rumoured since around early 2017, and a production unit, Scientology Media Productions, was created a year prior. Alex Gibney's documentary Going Clear won a Peabody and three Emmys and A&E has made headlines with its serial expose on the church, Scientology and the Aftermath, from former member Leah Remini. As Deadline observed, the Google Play description for the Scientology Network app offers a sneak peek at potential programming, including shows like "Meet a Scientologist, Voices for Humanity, L. Ron Hubbard: In His Own Voice and more". Both programmes were deeply critical of Scientology and its methods.
