Carrick: United back where they belong in Europe

Mourinho names the 'most important match' of his reign

It was an extremely newsworthy prematch news conference session yesterday with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and midfielder Michael Carrick.

Paul Pogba is set to return to Manchester United's starting line-up for Tuesday's Champions League tie against Sevilla.

In the first leg in Spain last month, United forged few opportunities until very late in the game and amassed all of one shot on target in the whole 90 minutes as they prioritised their quest for a clean sheet and came away with a 0-0 draw.

Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Ander Herrera and Daley Blind were others absent, although Anthony Martial and Zlatan Ibrahimovic trained ahead of the game.

Giggs says the criticism started following the 0-0 Premier League draw with Liverpool at Anfield last October. With the win, United have cemented the second spot on the Premier League table, taking a significant five points lead from third-placed Jurgen Klopp's men.

Tillerson Out, Mike Pompeo to State
Hours before his ouster, Tillerson raised eyebrows by issuing some of his strongest statements yet on Russian Federation . The now-former Cabinet member cut his trip to Africa short and returned to D.C. on Monday.

Mourinho won't allow himself to think of the quarter-finals just yet, however.

'I think he will stay, ' Mourinho told La Sexta.

"For the club and for everybody it's important to move forward in the Champions League and to feel that we are up there, alongside the best teams".
