Report | Packers to land Muhammad Wilkerson

The 2018 Green Bay Packers are not your father's Green Bay Packers, or even your younger uncle's Green Bay Packers, because these Green Bay Packers are spending big early in free agency.

Still, defensive line might be the deepest position on the Packers' defensive roster, with budding star Kenny Clark, Pro Bowler Mike Daniels and the improving Dean Lowry. Green Bay is hoping he can turn that around while still being an asset in the run game, in which he was the 23rd best. Mike Pettine, the Packers' new defensive coordinator, was Wilkerson's defensive coordinator with NY when he was drafted in the first round in 2011.

Muhammad Wilkerson will be the first significant addition to the Packers' defense this offseason.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the deal is worth $5 million plus $3 million in incentives. If Wilkerson plays motivated every play, he could be a force. The deal is expected to be for one season, giving Wilkerson the opportunity to test free agency again next year.

Kurangani forest fire leaves 10 dead; 8 are seriously injured
Palaniswami said soon after he came to know of the fire on Sunday, he directed steps for their safe rescue. But, as per Chennai Trekking Club (CTC), the trekkers deviated from the route to escape the forest fire .

One can assume new defensive coordinator Mike Pettine had a say in this signing.

Wilkerson, 28, is a seven-year veteran with the New York Jets. The Jets released him after his last two seasons.

The 2011 first-round pick made the Pro Bowl for the first time in 2015 after registering 64 tackles and a career-high 12 sacks. In 2016, he was rewarded with a five-year, $86 million contract that included $37 million fully guaranteed at signing. After racking up 28.5 sacks from 2013 to 2015, he has managed a paltry eight quarterback takedowns in 28 games over the past two years.
