Google Maps now has routes for wheelchair users

The new option which is available in six cities like London and NY, targets to make travel easier for people who need an accessible route on public transportation.

The mobile device gaming landscape is changing as more AR games are being developed since the Pokemon Go, there are few augmented reality games announced recently which will use Google Maps APIs which include Jurassic World Alive, Ghostbusters world and The Walking Dead: Our World. It is now only available in New York, Mexico City, London, Boston and Sydney. Google says that it will work with the transit agencies to bring more routes in the Maps. In order to coax greater frequency of higher quality photos, reviews, as well as corrections of outdated or erroneous business information, Google has rolled out updates to the Local Guides program. "With the help of transit agencies around the globe and people like you who contribute local knowledge, we're making progress toward a more accessible world for everyone", states the blog post.

The search giant recently has introduced a wheelchair-friendly navigation feature on its maps application that will provide optimal transit routes to make transit more accessible to almost everyone.
