At $600, the Chromebook x2 is priced above many of its Chromebook rivals, although Google's Pixelbook is even more expensive. There's also a 3.5mm headphone jack for listening to your tunes, as well as two USB-C ports with an estimated battery life of 10.5 hours.

Acer shook things up with a Chrome OS powered Android tablet a couple weeks ago, but with a heavy focus on the education market it may not be the flawless answer for someone that's looking for a decent Android tablet replacement. Known as the Chromebook x2, the device is built to compete with companies like Apple and Microsoft in the productivity-focused tablet market.

Like the Acer Chromebook Tab 10 which released a couple weeks ago, the Chromebook x2 is a powerful machine, though its integrated 1GHz Core m3 processor wouldn't exactly justify the notebook on paper. It also includes a Quad HD 12.3-inch diagonal Corning Gorilla Glass four touch display, for improved durability and scratch resistance. There are dual speakers tuned with help from Bang & Olufsen plus cameras front and rear to round out the package. Not only that, but the hinge design will allow users to have the tablet set at multiple angles so you can get just the right layout for your work to get done. The magnetic hinge rotates in order to align with the tablet thus making it easier to use either on a table or a user's lap.

United Kingdom pricing for the Chromebook x2 has yet to be confirmed, with HP setting a U.S. recommended retail price of $599.99 (around £423 excluding taxes) for the entry level model when it launches in early June 2018.
