The lone woman involved in the bus crash involving the Humboldt Broncos, a 25-year-old athletic trainer who was in critical condition, died Wednesday, bringing the death toll in the tragedy to 16, according to CBC News.
Jerseys were worn across the country, with many employers encouraging staff to wear jerseys.
Crescent Point Energy Corp., another Calgary-based oil producer with assets located in Saskatchewan, donated $10,000 to Funds for Humboldt Broncos.
Meanwhile in Toronto, Mayor John Tory has declared Jersey Day in the city to honour the victims.

That attack in Duma, a rebel-held town in Syria's eastern Ghouta region, left dozens dead, including children. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov cautioned against "any steps which could lead to an escalation of tensions".
"We are all joined in the need to help the team, the many families impacted and the community as they deal with such a awful loss", said Mel Duvall, a spokesperson for Calgary-based Husky Energy Inc., which donated $15,000 to the fund. "Saskatchewan is home to about 1,000 of our employees and this has affected everyone at Husky deeply". Words cannot capture the magnitude of this loss but it is felt in communities where these young men were born and raised, including Leduc, which some of the Broncos have called home as a part of the Leduc Junior Athletic Club and Leduc Minor Hockey Association.
"Being from home and knowing people who knew some of the kids intimately, like my best friend's daughter is in the same class as Xavier Labelle", Poulin said.
"Any comfort we can give these families just by a small little gesture, by supporting them, wearing our jerseys, we want to help them any way we can", said physical education teacher Kim Poirier. Among the fatalities were the Broncos head coach, players and the bus driver. The gesture in tribute to the team has been happening all over the place, and photos on social media have been trending under the hashtag #PutYourStickOut. Dayna I've been thinking of you a lot! "If I were to get on a bus, and to lose all your teammates and family like that it would be tragic".
