Commonwealth Games organisers called for competitors to respect the law, mindful of the fact that more than 100 athletes overstayed their visas at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Seven Olympic athletes from Cameroon, including 5 boxers, a swimmer and a reserve women's goalkeeper also went missing during the London 2012 Olympics.
Meanwhile, most of the remaining Cameroon delegation has left Australia now that their specific competitions are complete.
