Tuesday is looking cool and dry with highs in the low and mid 60s. We rebound to the lower 70's by mid-week. Tonight's low is cold at 39 degrees. Temperatures will kick off in the 50s this morning. Warmer for Monday as an upper level ridge moves east our area to give us a mild southwesterly flow.
Tuesday's forecast calls for a high of 84 with a low of 61.
A tranquil weather pattern will remain in place through the first half of the work/school week. Sunday Night will be clear, breezy and even colder.
The front is forecast to bring numerous showers and thunderstorms, forecasters said in an alert Friday. The best chance of this happening would be from western North Carolina toward Southside Virginia, but it is far from certain these "discrete" storms will develop at all.
