It will be a cold day on Sunday with a chance of sleet and freezing rain, according to the National Weather Service, starting a week of below-normal temperatures. Areas of light snow will continue into this afternoon with additional accumulation amounts of around an inch possible.
Periods of light freezing rain and sleet are expected across parts of central and western MA and ice accumulations of up to one-tenth of an inch are possible.
