Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has named a strong starting XI for the Premier League champions as they tackle Swansea.

Manchester City were given a guard of honour and there were celebrations at full-time in their first match since their third league title in seven seasons was confirmed.

Thousands of City's jubilant fans invaded the pitch to celebrate after the final whistle.

Guardiola said he would have "no problem" if the FA chose to charge City, but launched an impassioned defence of supporters and joked that his main concern was the threat of the grass being damaged. "Football is an emotional game, I understand you have to be careful".

Arsenal's Invincibles of 2003/04 were a team ahead of their time in playing a continental style, but even then they had Patrick Vieira, Sol Campbell and Kolo Touré to act as enforcers when?beautiful football wasn't working. "If we are improving it will be good for the new season, finishing in a good way".

The second arrived four minutes later after a cross from the left by Fabian Delph was met by Raheem Sterling, who tapped into an unguarded goal. Jesus made amends with a looping header from substitute Yaya Toure's pass.

City clinched the league title last weekend with five games to spare, after already winning the English League Cup.

They could easily get the post points and goals in a season records - both now held by Chelsea (05/06 and 09/10 respectively) - if they win three of their five games to go beyond 95 points and score another 11 goals in the process to beat the current record of 103. They are Premier League records, according to Opta, which started providing statistics for the league in the 2003-04 season.

Guardiola insists they're not favourites for next season's title.

Lower down in the table, Swansea's 1-1 draw against Everton meant that the Swans are now winless in their last four League encounters.

"Many other teams have conceded three or more goals to City this season".

Swansea are confident that manager Carlos Carvalhal will stay on at the club next season regardless of what division they are in.

Along with De Bruyne, David Silva has completed the playmaking double punch that Guadiola has preferred since the days of Xavi and Andres Iniesta at Barcelona.

There was a party atmosphere at the Etihad and the home side always looked like they were going to win the game and David Silva got the ball rolling for them in th 12th minute.
