Long before Fortnite and PUBG were around and made battle royale games popular, Daybreak Games had their own battle royale game.
With the new weapon progression mechanics, players only have access to loot six level-one weapons at the start of the match and must strategically decide which airdrops to pursue if they want better level weapons and gear. Daybreak Game Company has announced that the free-to-play battle royale game will arrive on the PS4 next month.
The Open Beta will begin on May 22nd, complete with a control system tailor-made for the PS4. It's the game's first console version, which is why the studio went to great lengths to make sure that it appeals to console players.
But H1Z1 is not technically new, as on PC it predates both games. The HUD has also been simplified and the PS4 version of the game will not feature any type of crafting system. An Open Beta will be available soon and showcase just how dedicated Daybreak is to having a seriously good time in the field of battle royal.
Mass airdrops are released throughout the map, through which players may pick up familiar weapons like the AK and AR, as well as the new KH43, Marauder, Combat Shotgun, CNQ-09, Scout Rifle and MK46.
Baby found dead in Jersey City identified, father arrested
The Richmond father of a two-year-old girl found dead in a suitcase was previously convicted after his 8-month-old baby drowned. While the cause of death is still pending, a preliminary investigation indicates Te'Myah died out of state, officials said.
H1Z1 on PS4 is designed specifically for the console and focuses exclusively on the core elements that make battle royale exciting. PlayStation Plus members will get 20% off the bundle. The notable fast-paced combat is slightly amped up while the airdrop system has been redefined to keep the intensity alive per match.
As for technical information, H1Z1 is said to be optimized for the PS4 hardware, but the only concrete detail is that the PS4 Pro can run the game at 60 frames per second. Just find one of the many special crates hidden throughout the map containing level 2 and 3 gear.
Morton also said that a lot of the current footage for the PS4 version of H1Z1 is pre-alpha and that, on the PS4 Pro, H1Z1 is locked at 60fps while on the original PS4 its locked at a minimum of 45fps.
From now until the open beta launch on May 22, you can pre-order a $30 bundle that comes with guaranteed cosmetic items and a dynamic PS4 theme.
