Lowndes County's unemployment rate fell to 4.5 percent, which is down from 4.7 percent in February and 5.4 percent in March 2017.
Unemployment in New York State ranged from 4.2 percent in Ithaca and New York City to 8 percent in Watertown-Fort Drum.
Crook County: The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was essentially unchanged in March at 6.1 percent, compared with 6.2 percent in February, and 6.0 percent in March 2017. The labor force changed from 48,100 in February to 48,700 in March.
She said this came at the same time as a "large over-the-year decrease in the number of employed Long Islanders, dropping by 22,400".

Total Trinity County industry employment grew by 20 jobs from February to March and by 130 jobs for the year-over with six industry sectors gaining, two remaining unchanged and none contracting. "That was a little bit down from the February 2018 level of 7.6%", said Scalzo-Knapik. Among adjoining OH counties, the county's rate was lower than Mahoning (5.7 percent), Carroll (5.5 percent) and Jefferson (6.3 percent), but higher than Stark (5 percent).
