A dragon float from the movie Maleficent caught fire at Disney World's Magic Kingdom Friday afternoon.

Disney World confirmed the float caught on fire during the 3 p.m. parade.

Disney officials said operations remained normal throughout the rest of the park, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Members of the Reedy Creek fire department responded to the incident, but by the time they arrived the fire had been contained.

A fire-breathing dragon at Walt Disney World in the USA went up in flames during a parade at the theme park.

The paper reported that Disney is investigating what went wrong.

"I think we have a problem, the dragon's literally on fire", a guest says in the video.

The dragon, which has a steampunk-looking design, normally rolls through the streets of the theme park, occasionally rearing its head and blowing smoke and fire into the air. It includes several themed floats carrying many Disney characters, ranging from the royal "Frozen" sisters to Mickey Mouse.
