Overwatch Anniversary Event Set For May 22, According To Leak

Overwatch Anniversary plans LEAKED... all event skins will return and Junkrat has a new pirate outfit

Blizzard has yet to officially announce anything, but it seems that the Overwatch Twitter page in Brazil accidentally published a 20-second trailer confirming the upcoming event.

The event, which celebrates the game's release, will apparently arrive May 22 and like a year ago will bring a swarm of rare items.

Blizzard will be hosting a free weekend of Overwatch on PC, Xbox, and Playstation from May 25th to May 27th. Items, brawls, and skins from past seasons are indeed returning, alongside 50 new cosmetic items and a new Deathmatch map, Petra.

Four straight pole winners have won the race, including Power, who has won all three from the No. 1 starting position. The final warmup session for the IndyCar Grand Prix was stopped twice because of smoke from an engine and geese.

No pricing details have been revealed for the new pirate Junkrat skin but it's a safe bet that it will probably be a legendary, as is the case with most event skins. It's called the Legendary Edition, and it will include a total of 15 skins (including Legendary, Epic and Origin skins) with your purchase. Also, a new version of the title will release alongside the event, called the "Legendary Edition".

Much like Overwatch's previous in-game event, this year's Anniversary Event will also bring back all seasonal cosmetic items for those who missed them the last time around. There's also a ton of funky fresh new dance emotes for Doomfist, Moira, and Brigitte on offer. If you want to spend money, picking up the 50 loot box bundle comes with a bonus of one legendary loot box.

If you log in during the event, you'll get a Legendary Anniversary Loot Box, which will net you at least one guaranteed legendary item.
