Retro Castlevania Inspired Prequel For Bloodstained Announced, Arrives This Month

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon is a beautiful 80s throwback releasing this month

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon launches on Switch and 3DS on May 24

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon - as you can see - evokes feelings and vibes of earlier titles in the Castlevania series, however, unlike those iconic games, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon throws an interesting wrench into the formula: there's an ally system.

As you may remember, during the Kickstarter campaign for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, an 8-bit game was promised as a stretch goal.

BloodStained: Curse of the Moon will be available May 24th on the Playstation 4, PC, PS Vita, Switch, and Xbox One for $9.99. Backers have been asked to specify which platform they would like to access the spin-off game on, but they found out the hard way that was not one of those platforms. During your journey you can meet travelers who can join your party as playable characters.

Featuring aesthetics ripped straight out of the NES era, Curse of the Moon stars Zangetsu, a sword-wielding demon killer.

IPL 2018, MI vs RR: Visitors win toss, elects to field
Rahane (243 runs) and Ben Stokes (185) have been below-par and head coach Shane Warne will be relieved if they fire on Sunday. The live IPL match Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals will be broadcasted on Star Sports network, Hindi and Tamil.

The 8-bit retro-style action game was developed by game creator Koji Igarashi and Inti Creates.

"Hey everybody, regarding the retro mini game not being on GOG, long story short it was the result of an unfortunate miscommunication between Inti Creates, ArtPlay and Fangamer stemming from when the original KS campaign happened". You can check out the official trailer for the game below. That means anyone who backed over a certain amount will get a code for Curse of the Moon for free.

Igarashi added that he was able to play the spin-off himself and "had a great deal of fun with it".
