Now, the company has announced "Google One": a new plan for expanded storage that includes "extra benefits". Plus, Google says it may hand out free Google Play credits to buy apps, music and movies, and offer other sorts of deals as well. Cloud storage providers such as Dropbox, Google, Apple, and Microsoft have led the way in providing a limited amount of free cloud storage.
In a blog post on Monday, the company wrote: "One of the most common requests we've received is for storage plans to be sharable within a family".

To start with, according to The Verge, Google is slashing the price of their 2TB cloud storage plan from $19.99/month to a mere $9.99/month, and they'll be adding to their low-priced storage options with a $2.99/month 200GB storage plan.

Google will be automatically be upgrading the paid Google Drive customers to their comparable Google One plan over the coming months, so keep an eye out for that. For example, adding more storage to your account gives you more space for Gmail, Google Photos, and general file storage in Drive.
