The Bayern Munich goalkeeper has not played since suffering a recurrence of a fractured foot in September, restricting him to just four appearances since the initial injury in April of a year ago.

Germany, who claimed their fourth world title in Brazil in 2014 courtesy of Mario Gotze's extra-time victor against Argentina at the Maracana, named 27 players in their provisional squad for next month's competition.

Pictures of Germany's Manuel Neuer and Marc-Andre ter Stegen are displayed during the announcement.

Gotze is another notable omission, with the 25-year-old failing to make the 35-man roster just four years after scoring the winning goal in the World Cup final in Brazil. "I think he has enormous quality and he has proved this but he was not in that form". However, he missed out on playing in the 2014 World Cup due to an injury-hit season.

The Bayern Munich goalkeeper, and Germany number 1 goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer who has been injured for the majority of the season has been assessed by his country's medical staff before the tournament.

Like every other Nokia smartphone, the Nokia 6 is also expected to offer a micro SD card slot for additional storage expansion. The resultant screenshot was published to China's microblogging site Weibo , including specs, price and a front-back expose.

"Marco is a special weapon, he has special gifts", Loew said of the forward.

Defending champion Germany will play Mexico, Sweden and South Korea at the World Cup in Russian Federation.

Interestingly with Neuer's inclusion, Germany will now be taking four goalkeepers to Russian Federation and just two strikers in Mario Gomez and Nils Petersen, with Wagner perhaps the most surprising omission.

Germany play their last warm-up games against Austria a day later and take on Saudi Arabia in Leverkusen on June 8.
