Brazil's President Temer calls for FIFA World Cup title

FIFA ARE PLANNING a new 24-club summer tournament that will replace the current Club World Cup and Confederations Cup.

Through his Twitter account, President Temer spoke about the World Cup after the announcement of the final list of the 23 players summoned for the national team earlier in the day, reports Xinhua news agency.

Federation Internationale de Football Association is said to be pushing ahead with a contentious plan to establish a new worldwide tournament that would replace its existing seven-team annual event with a 24-team event held every four years, starting in June 2021.

The Times suggests that United and Liverpool will be two of 12 European clubs invited to take part, having won at least three European Cups in the past.

Shenmue 3 has been delayed because of course it has
Still, as long as they can ensure that the game will be as good as it possibly can be, I guess we can all just suck it up for now. We promise to use this time to improve the quality of Shenmue III .We can not thank you enough for your enduring support.

The other three clubs from Europe who are in the running to be included are Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, PSG, Porto, Benfica, and Borussia Dortmund. The 24 clubs would share a pot of approximately £1.5 billion with the victor earning £100 million and a guaranteed £50 million just for participating.

The format is expected to include eight groups of three, a quarter-final stage, semi-finals and final, taking place from June 10-28 in 2021.

It is said that UEFA and the Premier League are "furious" at the idea with a $1b pot shared among the clubs. Backers from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are also reported to be involved. Last month, reports emerged that the investors had offered guaranteed revenues of US$25 billion in return for the rights to operate the Club World Cup and a new Global Nations League. Or would they just treat the tournament as a pre-season warm up to get their players ready for the domestic season?

What are your thoughts on the potential tournament?
