2018 NBA Playoffs: Celtics sink LeBron James, Cavs in Game 2 for surprising 2-0 series lead

The Cleveland Cavaliers got smoked by the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

There was a key point at the end of the second quarter when the Boston Celtics trimmed the lead to 7, but Marcus Morris showed intensity taking the ball to the hole against Tristian Thompson during a key play in the third quarter. It was only the second time since Game Two of the 2016 NBA Finals against Golden State in 2016 that LeBron failed to score at least 20 points in a playoffs game but Morris declined to take all the credit.

James also logged his 5th 40-point game in the current playoffs - the most he's ever had in his career. "I thought Semi (Ojeleye) did a good job on the couple of possessions he guarded him, which is really hard to just come off the bench not in the flow of the game and put a body in front of him, but he's unbelievable". Brown knows how great James can be.

Rozier scored 14 points in the quarter with his free throws getting Boston even at 66-66 with 6:11 on the clock.

Meanwhile, the last time James' team didn't win the East was in 2010, when the Cavs lost in the conference semifinals to the Celtics.

James said Tatum's shoulder was a "tough blow" and "incidental", and he needed to go to the locker room to "kind of recalibrate".

World Health Organization plans to eliminate trans fats from food by 2023
Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was expected to issue the call to action at a news conference in Geneva on Monday. Trans-fatty acids can also occur naturally in meat and dairy products from ruminant animals (e.g. cattle, sheep, goats, etc).

"I'm not going to lose sleep over it", James said.

Aron Baynes and Rozier 3-pointers capped the 36-point third and sent the Celtics to the fourth up 84-77. Kevin Love played strong all game with 22 points and 15 rebounds. One positive aspect is that Game 3 won't take place until Saturday night, which will allow him a few extra days to more fully recover from whatever final outcome is determined. "We're ready, we're prepared and we're hungry".

James told reporters after the Cavaliers' heavy 108-83 game one loss on Sunday he had "zero level of concern" about his team's future performance.

At this point, there is no doubt who the better team is in this matchup.

Auerbach's spirit was definitely with the Celtics that 2007-2008 season, as they won the National Basketball Association championship that year, spearheaded by their Big Three of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen.

Smith said there was no malicious intent on the play. "We weighed it before the series started, but we'd won seven out of eight and we weren't going to adjust until someone beat us and we didn't play well with that lineup and that got us to this point".
