Greensboro, N.C. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team posted an opening score of 321 on the East Course at Grandover Resort in the first round of the 2018 NCAA Division III Championships.
The top-seeded Yellow Jackets are nine shots off the pace set by the No. 3 seed, Texas, but more importantly are six shots ahead of sixth place entering the Wednesday's final round.
The Ole Miss men's golf team carded a 3-under 285 Tuesday to climb into fifth place at the NCAA Bryan Regional at the Par-72, 7,146-yard Traditions Club.
Junior Charles Huntzinger (Duluth, Ga.) played his final seven holes at 1-under-par to finish the day with a 2-over 73.
Strafaci is tied for ninth place individually at 5-under-par 137, while Norton and Ogletree are in a large group of players tied for 14th place at 3-under 139. The fourth ranked Yellow Jackets are now nine shots behind surging Texas and six shots ahead of sixth place after day two of region play.

The suspect was arrested just west of the school and was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Adam Kinzinger said in a statement. "Because of his heroic actions, countless lives were saved".
The Bearkats now sit in 12th place and are four shots back of Virginia.
"I think we just got off to a very slow start with some tough conditions", MSU head coach Casey Lubahn said. "We've been putting it together with 2-under, 3-under rounds, but obviously those numbers are out there".
Iowa State leads the regional through one round at 10-under par 278, while Kansas is in second with a 7-under par 281.
This is the twenty first straight year that Georgia Tech is competing in an NCAA regional and the twenty eighth time in the past thirty years.
