All 10 children were taken into protective custody by Solano County Child Welfare Services.

Both Rogers and Allen have denied the accusations against them. Officers said the home was filled with rotting food, feces and trash. Rogers faces charges of child neglect and her husband Jonathan Allen has been charged with torture and child abuse. "I am an unbelievable mother". He pleaded not guilty Monday to seven felony counts of torture and nine counts of child cruelty.

Solano County Superior Court Commissioner Robert Q. Warshawsky set bail at $5,250,000. She did not enter a plea, but has denied allegations her kids were abused and Tuesday told reporters she was an "amazing mother". The 12-year-old boy was found sleeping under a bush in a nearby yard, according to KNTV. Once they arrived, they immediately became concerned for the safety and health of the children and made a decision to search the property-that's when they discovered nine more children, "living in squalor and unsafe conditions". A bathroom was covered from wall-to-wall in animal droppings.

Rogers was arrested March 31, the same night her son was returned to her, and booked into Solano County Jail for alleged child neglect. The mother was released after posting a $10,000 bail.

Allen is being held on a $5.2 million bond and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Prosecutors say they will file nine counts of felony child abuse against the California mother of 10 children who officials say suffered long-term abuse in a filthy home. The investigation revealed a long and continuous history of severe physical and emotional abuse of the children. The children were removed from their home on March 31.

On Wednesday, Solano County's deputy district attorney condemned Rogers.

The search led to further investigation and interviews with the children that Chief Deputy District Attorney Sharon Henry told reporters caused her to be horrified. She wrote that Rogers knew about the abuse her children endured but failed to protect them and assisted in the abuse herself. Rogers is now caring for several of the children while the others are with relatives, the network reported.

The Solano County alternate public defender's office has just been appointed to Allen's case, Roberto Najera said. "The police demonized me all the way down to the names I picked for my children", Allen said.

Allen had reportedly threatened to kill her five children, which included two from a previous relationship, the Chronicle reported.

The records identify the victim in 2011 as Allen's spouse and list her initials, I.R. Prosecutors alleged Allen used a.22 caliber revolver in some of the crimes.

As part of a deal with prosecutors in 2011 he pleaded no contest to corporal injury and was jailed for 180 days and three years of probation. The charges on Wednesday accompanied a new $495,000 bail.

She said her daughter failed to get on the school bus on her first day of kindergarten and was later found talking to a stranger and his dog at the school, she said.

She said she felt unfairly judged for her lifestyle. She "may not be a danger to the public at large, but these charges make clear she is a danger to the children", he said. She called Allen a monster. "My husband has a lot of tattoos".
