Samsung Galaxy J6 with Infinity Display Launch on May 21: Features, Specifications

Samsung Galaxy J6 India launch

Samsung Galaxy J6 will come with Infinity Display similar to Galaxy S8 and the S9

Samsung has sent out invites for the launch of its Galaxy J6 in India on 21 May. Moreover, at least one of the phones, the Galaxy J6, will start selling in India from May 22 although it isn't clear if Samsung will be selling it from both online and offline channels or via one of the two. The retail box of the Galaxy J6 shows that the smartphone will come with a Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of Rs 14,990.

Samsung, the South Korean smartphone manufacturer has announced its next in Galaxy J series (J stands for Joy) on the Twitter page. The invite includes the text "Say Hello to Infinity and More", revealing that the company will be launching devices with Infinity displays at the event. It is a well-known fact that Samsung is now struggling to keep up with the rest of the competition, especially, in the budget segment.

Apple iPhone X was the best-selling smartphone globally in March, followed by iPhone 8 Plus and the first-timer Xiaomi's Redmi 5A in top 3 best-selling devices, a new report said on Friday.

If rumours are anything to be believed, the Galaxy J6 will feature a 5.6-inch HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 720x1480 pixels, which is surprising since even budget devices at this age offer a better display.

"Following a limited number of cases where Galaxy S7 devices have rebooted unexpectedly with the Android 8.0 Oreo, we have temporarily stopped the rollout of the update". The internal storage of the smartphone is also said to be expandable via microSD card.

The other Galaxy J4 is expected to have a 5.5-inch HD display with the standard 16:9 aspect ratio and will be powered by Exynos 7570 chipset with 2GB/3GB RAM and 3000 mAh battery. It comes with Dolby Atmos for an immersive sound experience through headphones.
