The son of the late Farah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal, Redmond O'Neal, is going to jail after the court and jury convicted him on charges of attempted murder and assault after he nearly killed two people during several attacks in Los Angeles.
According to the LAPD, 33-year-old Redmond has been connected to 5 violent incidents, and was charged Friday with attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, brandishing a knife and battery.
The son of two famous Hollywood actors is accused of conducting a crime spree in Southern California that left one man stabbed in the face and lying in a pool of blood, USA Today reports. The police arrested Redmond on the 8th of May after he was identified as a suspect in an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven.
O'Neal, 33, is alleged by police to have gotten into an argument and punched a stranger on the night of May 2. The victim made the suspect angry when he "appeared to look at him", they said.
"After O'Neal's arrest, the violent crime spree ended", police said in a statement, "and Pacific Area robbery detectives found O'Neal to strongly match the description of the suspect in these crimes".
