Origin Access Premier members can be the first to play the full game with unlimited access on PC starting February 15, and EA Access and Origin Access Basic members can enjoy up to 10 hours of play time as part of the Play First Trial. With the lack of reveals that weren't expected, other than the new Star Wars game - which didn't even include an actual reveal - and the Clone Wars expansion for Star Wars Battlefront II, the rest was all sort of just. meh. According to EA, there will be no loot boxes, similar to Battlefield V's lack of them.
At the end of EA's Play event ahead of the official E3 conferences, three members from BioWare took to the stage for a deep dive on the title - dropping a cinematic trailer alongside extended footage of gameplay. The primary antagonists in the game, a faction about whom we know little more than its name (the Dominion), have learned how to manipulate the Anthem in their pursuit of conquering the world. GOOOOOAAAAAL! This comes alongside a free trial of Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 on all platforms, so you can get in and play the World Cup stuff for free right now. "Too soon for details but will provide more when the time is right". The game was meant to be a dynamic, living world game that could allow for you to have friends drop in and drop out of the story you experience.
Expect EA to go hard on Anthem during their presentation this year, most likely with a lengthy demo.
EA Announces Origin Access Premier on PC; Coming Later This Summer
It all sounds very similar to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass , which offers access to many of that consoles' titles for $9.99/month. But, Origin Access Premier takes it to a new level by offering all those same titles plus access to EA's newest releases.
"It's what we called "our would your story", explains Casey, "This is a living shared world, where everyone is playing together but when you finish the mission you come back to the base, which is a single player area and this is where your story really lives and breathes". The Ranger, Storm, Interceptor, and Colossus Javelins can all be seen in the new screenshots and each exosuit will boast a different style of play.
Thanks to a world ravaged by natural disasters, players will have to traverse Anthem's world in Iron-Man-esque suits known as javelins. They vowed to not have any pay-to-win mechanics in future games.
