It also brings up the possibility of an actual Star Wars canon story to go along with it - oh what fun!

"I'm thrilled to be able to announce that EA and the talented team at Respawn Entertainment have expanded our relationship to include the development of an all-new 3rd person action adventure game set in the Star Wars universe".

Respawn Entertainment is working on a new Star Wars game called "Jedi Fallen Order", publisher Electronic Arts teased during its E3 press conference on Saturday. Co-founder Vince Zampella stopped by EA's E3 presentation to share the name, release time, and a few admittedly vague details of its upcoming title.

The studio first announced the game a year ago.

Star Wars is a hot property and EA will want to keep the hype surrounding it alive.

Titanfall developer Respawn has been developing a Star Wars game for EA for several years now but for a while, it's been quite vague what the game really was.

Zampella teased the title is now scheduled for release in late 2019, with more details to come at next year's E3.
