grubb [11:24 AM] EA brings cloud gaming and day-one games to its subscription service

EA is high in the sky with cloud gaming and newly announced 'Origin Access Premiere'

Premier subscribers will get access to the Vault of older EA titles, as with the regular Origin Access subscription, but will also get EA's PC titles, including Battlefield V, Federation Internationale de Football Association 19 and Anthem.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson proudly announced that the Premier subscription service will feature "all our new PC games".

On launch, new subscribers will get a 7 day free trial and will then be charged US$14.99 per month.

Origin Access Premier members will also be able to play other upcoming new titles for the platform, including Federation Internationale de Football Association 19 and the upcoming shooter Battlefield V. The biggest addition will be instant access to new games as they release. This means, you won't have to download games on your PC or wonder if your PC is capable enough to handle new games. EA did confirm it will arrive later this year, so hopefully we'll hear more soon. The premium service will also include access to the full Origin Vault of previously-released titles for subscribers, as with the base Origin Access service.

EA has announced a new streaming subscription service for its games. Fans who pre-order any version of the game will receive five Gold Team fantasy picks, and an Elite Player from the team of their choice.

Last month, EA acquired a cloud-streaming technology from GameFly, and it looks like that will serve as the new backbone for the companies expanded Origin Access efforts. In Origin Access Premier, this does not apply. By making use of this technology, EA managed to make the players on the field move and react to situations in a much more "lifelike" manner. Additionally, you get a 10% discount on Origin purchases. How's it going to feel for people jumping in on the official release date to find players with five days worth of higher tier gear waiting for them?
