Bethesda Just Announced ELDER SCROLLS VI and STARFIELD

Blades draws inspiration from the Elder Scrolls days of yore, with more Arena and Daggerfall-inspired experiences.

Earlier before the advent of E3, Bethesda already teased Fallout 76 and during the event, it came to many gamers as a big moment of happiness when Bethesda announced that the next instalment of Elder Scroll V which was released way back in 2011.

Mobile gaming is insane big these days.

It can be played in either landscape or portrait mode.

Starfield is going to be huge for Bethesda.

Fallout 76 is an entirely online game - although you will be able to play it solo - and it a "soft core" survival game where death doesn't result in a loss of progress. Todd Howard of Bethesda has said that the Elder Scrolls 6 trailer has plenty to pick at.

In addition to iOS, the game will also be available on Android.

Both of these titles were said to still be some way away, but the fact that we now have confirmation of the existence of a new Elder Scrolls adventure, is certainly something that brought in the cheers.

There are no details on the game yet, and the very short teaser tells us nothing except that the game exists, while showing off a mountainous region and some fog accompanied by the Dovahkiin theme.

The Elder Scrolls: Blades is perhaps the most ambitious game shown by Bethesda this year, though not necessarily in the expected way. When quizzed on the games a few years ago, Howard had mentioned that "the technology wasn't there yet for the game they wanted to build". In-game combat incorporates roleplaying elements like loot, stats and magic, while also offering multiple ways to utilize the real-time combat system, from controllers, to a mouse and keyboard, to a series of swipes and taps on mobile to guide your weapon's strikes and ripostes. Typhon Hunter will be playable on virtual reality platforms, as well.

On the upside, we will nearly certainly be seeing the game on a new engine in that time so we can hope that the combat will grow to match the quality of the world building and story telling.
