As we learned with Fallout: 76's reveal a couple weeks ago, the game takes place in West Virginia where players are some of the first people to emerge from the country's vaults on the tricentennial: 2076.
From what we saw in the footage Bethesda showed, Fallout 76 will have a good number of new enemy types, including a giant mutant sloth, hostile robot drones, and a very Skyrim-dragon-like flying gargoyle called a Scorchbeast. "You'll have your own character experience, but you'll also be able to play with people in your group and do some explore yourself, you'll be able to build settlements and defenses, but you'll also run into people who are trying to take your resources and kill you". You've spent 25 years underground as one of very few selected to live in Fallout 76, ready to celebrate Reclamation Day.
You can join your friends whenever you want and all of your progression will go with you.
Fallout 76 is an online survival RPG inspired by games like Rust and DayZ. Weapons appear more dated than previous Fallout games, as a gameplay sequence featured a single-shot pistol, complete with the player having to refill the gunpowder after every round.
The world of Fallout 76 is 4 times bigger than that of Fallout 4 and is split into 6 distinct regions, each one featuring its own mutated wildlife and architecture as well as quests.
Kyrie Irving Confirms He Won't Sign Extension With Celtics This Offseason
And then when they were afforded the opportunity to take the reins of the team, you saw them take full advantage of it. Kyrie Irving is pondering that - and a movie release and his future and LeBron's next Decision.
Last but not least, Bethesda announced the game's special edition. It won't be an MMORPG like The Elder Scrolls Online, though - it's more of a shared world like Destiny 2, with far less players hanging around than in your typical MMORPG. Fallout 76 allows you to build anywhere.
It was also announced that the highly anticipated game will be releasing November 14th of 2018. Fallout 76 is entirely online. This means you'll never be forced to be the "sidekick" when playing with others. If you don't have all the codes you can team up with other players to complete the sequence and launch the nukes at a mutual target or turn on them...your choice. "It was an idea that we just couldn't shake, and we knew we had to do it and do it in a really big way".
There's so much in this game. The swampfolk are implied to be capable of trade and interact offscreen with certain non-player characters. As we did not see any usage of V.A.T.S.in the Fallout 76 reveal - which is the pause and target different body parts combat - it might be sitting out Fallout 76.
Sign-ups for the beta are available now but it might take a little while since the site is likely being overloaded with players looking to get an early sign in.
