Death Stranding Gameplay Showcased With 4K Trailer; New Characters Revealed

Similar to the game's TGA 2017 teaser, its E3 2018 trailer introduced two new characters played by real-life actresses.

From the happy times of Ellie and Dina, the trailer abruptly shifts to a very gory scene where the main protagonist is seen repeatedly stabbing a man in his throat. We're also going to be scouring E3 and the internet for breaking stories, interesting tidbits, and rumours of what is still to be announced.

Death Stranding already has a lineup that's teeming with stars including Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Guillermo del Toro, and now Linday and Seydoux, but Kojima says that they're not done yet.

During the eight minute demo, we got to see lots of similar environments that require different approaches in terms of traversal; there's water to wade through and steep rocky inclines to climb. At one point, we even saw him lose some of his packages, implying delivering things could be a game objective on its own. Stealth seems to be a solid part of the gameplay, given what we've seen tonight. A typical hero is usually some sort of elite or someone with a military background. Someone with a skillset akin to a blue-collar worker. "Herein lies our challenge, to create both a new form of gameplay and a hero that has never been done before".
