After the lauded iPhone X made a lasting impression, Apple is going to capitalize on that demand to make more iPhones like the current flagship this year. Like we mentioned before, the LCD iPhone could see a single camera strapped to its back. This is now in debate across the media, with many stating that the third slot is simply for the flash, however this contrasts previous schematics where the flash is distinctly smaller than the lenses themselves. The triple lens rear camera is said to come with 3D sensing and improved zoom functionality.
There are plenty of rumors suggesting that Apple is working on one or two additional iPhone X models with even bigger displays than its current version. We expect the third one to be an nearly carbon-copy of the iPhone X with faster internals, Face ID 2.0 and perhaps the same triple camera as the 6.5-inch top of the line iPhone.
The schematics of the 6.5-inch and 6.1-inch iPhone models have been shared by Forbes contributor Gordon Kelly in collaboration with Ghostek. However, there will be a new incentive to buy the most expensive of all your models, and this time it will be the triple camera setup according to the latest leaks showing the new iPhone X Plus design schemes. The premium 5.8-inch OLED model and 6.5-inch OLED iPhone X Plus are expected to cost around $900 and $1,000, respectively.
Schematics have allegedly leaked for Apple's upcoming 6.1-inch LCD iPhone and 6.5-inch OLED "iPhone X Plus", reports Forbes. That's more compact than the current iPhone 8 Plus' 158.4 x 78.1mm.
Alleged iPhone XI schematics
However, the XI Plus is said to have a steel chassis, rather than an aluminum one, likely making it heavier than the 202g iPhone 8 Plus.
The 2018 iPhone launch is only a few months away now, and needless to say, there isn't much room for drastic design changes now. The device will have a dimension of 147.12 x 71.52 mm which will make it taller than the present iPhone X.
