FBI agent removed from Russia probe for anti-Trump texts says he’s willing to testify before Congress

"The Inspector General report that came out last week ripped me".

"And then we get to August 8, 2016 - less than two weeks after the Russian Federation investigation even began, the lead FBI agent says he will stop Trump from becoming president", the SC lawmaker said. The texts Strzok and Page exchanged have been on the radars of many. "Because they work for the general counsel", he said.

The IG report found the "messages cast a cloud over the FBI's handling" of the email investigation - but there is no proof that political bias influenced federal prosecutors' decision not to prosecute Clinton.

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) on Tuesday outed two previously unidentified anti-Trump, pro-Hillary FBI investigators who were referred for investigation by the inspector general.

Trump has reportedly in the past "sharply" questioned U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director Christopher Wray about why Strzok and Page still had jobs.

Reports last week indicated that House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte was preparing to subpoena Strzok as part of the House investigation into the FBI's conduct during the 2016 election. The president has linked the OIG report's findings to Mueller's investigation, although the report isn't about the Mueller probe.

In his book released earlier this year, Comey said he shared one memo - about a February conversation with Trump in which he alleged that the president asked him to let go an investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn - with a friend, Columbia University law professor Daniel Richman.

"Why was the FBI's sick loser, Peter Strzok, working on the totally discredited Mueller team of 13 Angry & Conflicted Democrats, when Strzok was giving Crooked Hillary a free pass yet telling his lover, lawyer Lisa Page, that "we'll stop" Trump from becoming President?"

Goelman said in a previous interview that Strzok disputes that he would have been willing to use his official position to hurt Trump, noting that had he wanted to, he could have leaked that there was an investigation into Trump's campaign before the election. "The OIG's Cyber Investigations Office recovered this text message, along with others, in May 2018 through forensic analysis of a folder found on Page's and Strzok's Samsung S5 devices".

"I was not talking about anything remotely classified and the inspector general didn't say that as well", Comey said.

"I'd like to get it done, our part over to them by July 4", he said, but added that developments at the Justice Department could lead him to advise the president to hold off.

'There are indicators right now that [FBI Deputy Director Andrew] McCabe may have asked FBI agents to actually change their 302s.
