It's been nearly four weeks since Google released Android P developer preview 3, complete with final APIs. Since we're closing in on Developer Preview 5 and the final release, not much has changed, but there are enough tweaks that we thought a video was necessary.
In Android P beta 3, you can control the application of either a light or dark theme in Android. And, while it doesn't have any new front-facing features, the stability optimizations and security updates act as a great way to "test your apps now to make sure they are ready before the final release", according to Burke. Today, it means support for multi-cameras, new phones with notched cut-outs at the top of the screen - a design Google itself is expected to adopt with the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL - and enhanced notifications. Google told us this was coming in mid-June, and now that that day has finally arrived, we're here to tell you just how to enable it. This imposes daily usage limits with Android providing "Nudges" when close to meeting the restriction.
There's not a lot in the way of new features within the new beta, which is available to registered Android developers and members of the public signed up for the beta programme. Now there are eight handsets that are officially taking part in Project Treble. The Essential Phone is already joining the party.
Paul George commits to re-sign with Oklahoma City Thunder
LeBron James , Kevin Durant , Paul George and Chris Paul were all off the market by the time the weekend was over. Former UCLA hoopster Trevor Ariza also left his Houston Rockets for the Phoenix Suns, signing a one year deal.
We're conflicted because Google's described the new release as "an early release candidate build" and says the full release is due "later this [northern] summer".
