Michael Cohen’s New Attorney Has Already Started Bashing Trump

Trump lawyers call Comey 'Machiavellian' in note to Mueller

Rudy Giuliani says Michael Cohen should cooperate with federal investigators

Cohen, 51, has scrubbed any mentions and photos from his Twitter profile that previously identified him as "Personal attorney to President Donald J. Trump" and, in what has been called a "warning shot", hired Lanny Davis, a close friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton, to join his legal team.

Furthermore, Giuliani told host George Stephanopulos, Mueller's probe into Russian election meddling is "the most corrupt investigation I have ever seen" and "they've never really told us what they're investigating [the president for], which of course we want to know".

Giuliani's comments mark the Trump team's latest attack on the Mueller probe.

The sources made it clear that, in his interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC two weeks ago, Cohen carefully chose the areas to distinguish himself from the President: First, one source said, "why did (Cohen) say I respect the Federal Bureau of Investigation?".

Lanny Davis, the new attorney representing Michael Cohen as he faces a federal criminal investigation in NY, is coming out swinging against Cohen's former client President Donald Trump and his lawyer Rudy Giuliani. "We have no reason to believe he did anything wrong".

"Zero. None", Giuliani said. "Nobody wants to speak more than me".

Michael Cohen's new attorney came out firing Monday against President Donald Trump and his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, challenging Giuliani over a recent interview and claiming the president and his lawyer together calling for the truth was an "oxymoron".

Yet he declared in the same report that the IG's office 'did not find documentary or testimonial evidence that improper considerations, including political bias, directly affected the specific investigative actions we reviewed'.

Taiwan says two US warships pass through Taiwan Strait
Two United States warships entered the Taiwan Strait on Saturday at a time of heightened tensions between Washington and Beijing. Although the USA does not have formal diplomatic ties with Taiwan, it is its most powerful ally and top arms supplier.

"We have not", Giuliani said. "I have debriefed all their witnesses", he said.

Among other things, investigators are looking into a $130,000 payment he handled as part of a confidentiality agreement with porn star Stormy Daniels, who says she had an affair with Trump in 2006.

On Friday, Giuliani told the New York Times that Mueller would only get his interview with the president if he could satisfy the White House that he had evidence that Trump had committed a crime.

Mr. Strzok didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.

The letter, obtained by the Associated Press, underscores the intense effort by Trump's legal team over the past year to tarnish Comey's reputation and pit the president's word against that of the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director.

Giuliani says he has advised Trump that there should be "no discussion of pardons", adding that is "something you can decide down the road".

Trump, however, told NBC anchor Lester Holt days after he ousted Comey in May 2017 that he was thinking of "this Russian Federation thing" when he fired him. Mr. Cohen has denied any wrongdoing.
