According to ABC affiliate WGNO, Matthews was killed two weeks ago, and family members chose to have his body prepared in a way they want to remember him. At only 18 years old, this loss weighs heavily on his loved ones.

Renard Matthews died in a shooting June 25 near North Tonti and Independence streets.

With the burial scheduled for Tuesday, hopefully close friends and family members of Renard were able to visit him over the weekend, as his life was celebrated in distinct fashion. He also donned socks brandishing the likeness of Kyrie Irving, the Celtics player that wears the number 11 shirt, the same that Matthews wore.

It's jarring to see these women that we've followed for so many seasons in a new prison, immediately evoking a feeling of dread. If you thought things at Litchfield Penitentiary were too comfortable, Orange is the New Black is shaking things up.

For Matthews' funeral ceremony, his family decided not to go with the traditional casket route, instead opting to stage his body to depict his favorite setting - playing the basketball video game while having junk food and soda at his side. Not only was he representing his favorite team, but he was also "playing" NBA2K on his Xbox One.

During his remembrance on Sunday, the family had Matthews preserved and placed in stance that reflected his low-key lifestyle.
